The walk covers the path followed by thousands of exiles at the end of the Spanish Civil War. It departs from Mataró, in Maresme, passing through the counties of Vallès Oriental, La Selva, La Garrotxa, Ripollès, Vallespir and Conflent. The town of les Planes d’Hostoles is the point of arrival and departure for two of its stages respectively. Stage 5 leaves Osor to arrive in Planes d’Hostoles, and Stage 6 leaves Les Planes d’Hostoles in the direction of Olot.

This section allows you to discover some of the most emblematic landscapes of Garrotxa. In Les Planes, it traverses the Cogolls area, and is surrounded by the Traiter, Tià and Santa Margarida volcanoes.
