The hermitage of the Àngel was the workshop of two mysterious men who made the wood carvings of Sant Crist Gros. The speed with which they did the work, and their subsequent disappearance, caused that work to be awarded to the angels.

Currently, the hermitage houses an image of the guardian angel protecting a child.
