Tribute to old age

This charming celebration was held for the first time in 1919. In the past, the eldest villagers walked through the streets accompanied by their relatives. The houses were adorned with boxwood and other flowers, and people placed richly embroidered bedspreads on the balconies. The festival consists of a parade of the over-seventy-year-olds, walking from the Sant Cristòfol school to the church, where a mass is celebrated. Later they dance sardanas in the Plaça 1 d’Octubre and finish with a shared lunch.
